YOGA FOR QUEER EMBODIMENT

BY DONATION!

VASHON ISLAND (location disclosed on registration)

In this affinity class, open to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, we will create a practice to nurture, celebrate, and invite ourselves into a place of embodiment. Embodiment is being in relationship with our bodies, creating space in which we can come into our own experience of ourselves and connect to the essence of who we know ourselves to be.

We will use movement, breath, mudra (hand gestures) and meditation to hold space for ourselves as innately complete and whole.

THIS WILL BE A QUEER ONLY SPACE.  The space is fully accessible, and the amenities are all-gender. Practice is adaptable to all mobilities.

I (Deborah King, C-IAYT) am a queer, cisgender, bi/pansexual, white, solo polyamorous yoga therapist. I specialize in interpersonal trauma. In addition to my private practice, I partner with The Dove Project to offer workshops to survivors, and with Swedish Medical Centers to offer practices to those navigating multiple sclerosis, cancer, and postnatal mental health challenges. I have over two decades of experience working with all mobilities, and my passion is the innate wholeness of each individual.

I am a proudly neurodivergent single mother, with two amazing kids, raised with the help of our notorious cats.
