Pratayahāra, the 5th Limb of Patañjali’s Eight Limbs in the Yoga Sūtras, is the practice of turning our attention inward. Sometimes translated as withdrawal of the senses, it can also be seen as a technique for directing our energy and attention to our deep centers in order to calm ourselves from excess external stimulation, release stress, and rejuvenate from the inside out.
This workshop will utilize both active and restorative asana (physical practice), pranayama (breath-work), yoga nidra (deep relaxation), and meditation to actualize pratyahāra as a tool that can be drawn on anytime in practice or in life to ground, center, and bring a sense of well-being.
All levels of practice, and all bodies welcome.
